Are Fumoto valves magnetic?

Fumoto valves are not magnetic. Unlike a standard drain bolt, which often includes a magnet to trap debris, our valves are designed for oil to flow through them.
A magnetic component would be problematic because metallic shavings could become stuck inside the valve mechanism and potentially cause a clog.

It is not uncommon for users to purchase magnetic oil filters or attach magnets to their oil pans to catch shavings, but they do so at their own discretion.
