I received my Fumoto valve and the lever is stuck. What should I do?
I am ready to install my valve but the lever is stuck. What should I do?
Fumoto valve levers can sometimes become stiff during shipping. There is no need for concern, as the valve will be lubricated by oil during use, making it easier to operate with every oil change.
Using the pad of your thumb to lift and push the valve lever with firm pressure will resolve this stiffness. There is no need to use a hammer or any other tools; your thumb and a bit of pressure are sufficient. If needed, a rag or towel can be used to provide a better grip while pushing the lever.
Some valves may require more pressure than others. In these instances, do not be afraid to apply the necessary force to the lever.
